Slow Cooker Chicken with Apples & Rosemary
Please note: we love this recipe in our home but it does not conform strictly to a nutritional balancing diet because nutritional balancing tends to avoid sugars even in fruits, especially for people with certain states of health. However, I'm including this as a delicious recipe that I feel many can use in moderation. You can eat this on a bed of brown rice with vegetables on the side.
1 Pound of chicken Breast (preferable organic/ free range)
3 Apples (organic), peeled and sliced (lime juice for the apple, but not necessary)
1/2 Onion, diced
2 Rosemary sprigs
Add all ingredients to the slow cooker. It's not necessary to add any liquid, but if preferred, 1/4 of chicken stock can be added.
Cook on high for 6 hours or low for 8 hours.
